Meet The Filmmaker
Call Me Jade
You Can Find Me In The Mountains
When I was a kid, all I wanted to do was run away and travel the world. I got my degree from the University of Utah, (Go Utes!) but while I was in school I took every opportunity to go see a new country. I saved and I saved until a flight deal to somewhere new popped up. My freshman year, I did a service project in Fiji. Every second of free time on this trip was spent in the ocean chasing colorful fish with my GoPro, so I could make a little edit in iMovie of my time there. I was in the ocean swimming around when I realized I wanted to spend my life doing this- chasing the shot. I feel very fortunate that I figured out my passion so young. As I got older, it has led me to this career.
I finished up school and I started filming weddings + couple's love stories and fell in love with this job. I haven't stopped working towards that dream since. Filming weddings has truly become such a huge part of my life, and I feel like it is such an honor to be trusted with such important times in people's lives. I get to be a part of the happiest days.
I grew up in Idaho + Utah. I am such a mountain girl. I love to stay in cabins, explore national parks, and spend the afternoon with my two dogs. I always get asked what are my favorite places I have traveled to are, and of course it is Banff Canada. Yup! I have been around the world and my favorite place is a 2 hour flight north. Although Iceland and Norway are up there as well!
I have two
I am a Utes graduate! I loved my film program.
A few of my favorite travel videos from the last few years.
I did my study abroad in Nepal. It was the greatest time of my life. We hiked through the Himalayas until we reached a small village. There we spent the next few weeks creating a documentary on the non-profit that send children to school. It was an amazing time.
A group of girl friends and I found flight deals to the Philippines. We spent most of the time in El Nido. The place was amazingly beautiful. We took a small van completely packed for 5 hours with no AC to get there. When we arrived, it was completely worth it.
Iceland is like visiting another planet. A very expensive, cold, and green planet. I have never seen so many waterfalls, hiked through such lush green moss, and had better coffee. This trip was back in 2017, but I will never forget it. Plus, I saw the northern lights! Iceland is amazing!
